Home Guard First Gloucestershire Motorcycle & Light Car Club Car badge. 95 mm (3.7") tall Heavy cast metal Had this badge from the start of time, sadly has a severe crack and two holes in the lower lettering. For Years I thought it said "First Class" but only recently found out it said "First Glos" 1st Battalion (Cheltenham) - HQ Lypiatt Terrace, Cheltenham. Formed in about 1944 and the Motorcycle Club around that date. Could only have lasted a few years as this is the only badge from this club that I have seen before. Note the Sphinx connection as in Bar None badges ......... August 2012 Correction Just found a lapel badge
