Motor Union Car Badge
Motor UnionMotor Union First vehicle type. 7.7” tall (196 mm) First issued in 1907 at a charge of Six shillings for the Brass version and seven shillings and six pence for this Nickel version. Wording is found around the inner wheel on both sides of the badge. In March 1907 there were more than 14 thousand members. The first 3000 badges issued were as this example. Numbered 1555 and issued to a Dr Holyroyd, Honourable Secretary of the Harrogate & District Automobile Club, who sat on the General Committee of the Motor Union.
