RAC Associate Badges 1954-73 Elizabethan type 1 Long tang Car Badge in plastic. Introduced in 1954 and 145 mm (5.65") tall with a blue anodised rear backing plate, and the plastic in the Crown area was thick with square edges. Having "The Property of The R.A.C. and numbered E81759 These badges tendered to suffer from water ingress affecting the chroming of the surround and the Crown. Phased out in early 1960's
