AA Numbering TEST
Known as the Stenson Cooke or Frying Pan badges because of the First chairman Stenson Cooke or the Frying pan shape Early badges were manufactured by Nash & Hull who produced around 2,000 and had their numbers stamped on the Tang. Walter Rowley Ltd of Birmingham then produced the AA's badges up until the square type in 1966-7 Manufactured in Brass, Nickel plated brass and Solid Nickel versions were also available. Together with the "Stenson Cooke" signature. The addition of "Secretary" was added at a later date Majority were of the large size of 112 mm (4.4") diameter. Varying lengths of tangs can be seen, some of the early ones being a foot or more.
