Royal Household badge, the design of the Crown is roughly based on the St. Edward's Crown (Used for Coronations of King's and Queen's) The MCE type (single Sided). 1908 - 1920 type. Doubled winged "Founder" type. King Edward VII head on the front side and a Union Flag to the rear. The King's head should always be pointing forward when travelling in the UK. For travelling abroad the badge should be reversed with the Union flag showing. Middle badge is the "Flat" type. Bottom Row. 1908 - 1920 type. showing the circular Union flag of the rear of the badge. A MCD type with the blue Bakelite around the King's head. Well patented "Life" Member's badge with the single set of wings. and finally an early Motorcycle badge in brass.
