Salop Car Badge

Shropshire, Salop being a recognised shortening of the County name. Manufactured in Resin and having a Stainless backing plate, by Renamel of London from the early 60’s until 1974 when the County Boundaries of England were changed. The shield shows three Leopards faces dating back to the fifteenth century, they were adopted from the Borough of Shrewsbury, the County Town of Shropshire. The backdrop of ermine was added to differ from the Town's arms.
